We are excited and pleased to welcome Brenda Papadakis to Bear Paw! Well known nationwide for her knowledge of Jane A. Blakely Stickle and her 1863 Civil War quilt, on which she based the Dear Jane blocks. Brenda will be here to show you how to make several of those 4 1/2 inch blocks, using quick-cut and applique techniques by hand or by machine. Be prepared to become a "Janiac" and discover (or further discover) the world of Dear Jane.

We welcome one of our very favorite designers, Janine Burke from Blue Underground Studios! Bear Paw has always had at least one Blue Underground quilt hanging in the shop at all times. Janine started Blue Underground with Amy Walsh after professionally quilting for many years. Janine will be teaching their “Curved Log Cabin” quilt, a modern spin on a traditional pattern. Come and learn from this innovative teacher!

Jennifer Bosworth, owner of Shabby Fabrics will be here to get you started on her "Blessings of Summer" applique Block of the Month quilt. You have seen Jennifer's patterns in many magazines. Come and learn her techniques as she shares her love of applique. Monthly classes will be held, and Jennifer will be back for an additional class in the fall to check up on everyone and share more tips, as you work your way through this fun quilt. Monthly class fee: $12.50.

Bear Paw Retreats
Join us for weekend at Western Pleasure Guest Ranch outside of Sandpoint, Idaho for a relaxing weekend of quilting.
Get away from it all for a weekend of fun, friendship and lots of time to quilt! You’ll enjoy the best of the Northwest at Western Pleasure Guest Ranch which is remote enough that there is limited cell coverage! We love it! Bring your machine& your projects and let us do the rest. Retreats run Thursday - Sunday or Friday - Sunday and are scheduled spring & fall.
